ChowCentaur is an emulation of the renowned Klon Centaur guitar pedal, offering users the opportunity to recreate its iconic sound. The plugin features the three knob parameters found on the original pedal, including a bypass switch for easy toggling. Additionally, users can choose between two different emulation modes: "Traditional" and "Neural".
The "Traditional" mode utilizes traditional circuit modelling techniques, while the "Neural" mode employs a recurrent neural network. This allows users to experiment with different sounds and textures, exploring the benefits and drawbacks of each approach.
For users with a more technical background, ChowCentaur provides additional resources such as the source code, technical paper, and a presentation from the 2020 Audio Developer Conference. These materials offer valuable insights into the research project that led to the creation of ChowCentaur.
To enjoy the full capabilities of ChowCentaur, simply install it as an AUv3 plugin within host applications like Garageband or AUM.
